Mississippi announces new executive director
Mississippi Reading Corps and Math Corps announced a new addition to its leadership team this week. As the executive director for Mississippi programs, Dr. Quentin Ransburg will take the lead in expanding program reach to serve even more students across the state.
Dr. Ransburg has over 25 years of experience in the education sector and most recently served as the human resources manager at the Mississippi Department of Education (D.O.E). In his 22 years with the Mississippi D.O.E., he also held roles such as the executive director of federal programs and the associate superintendent and equity officer.
Dr. Ransburg received his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from William Carey University and has a Master of Public Administration from Belhaven University. With a passion for advancing equity and diversity, Dr. Ransburg is excited to continue serving students and school communities in his new role. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, listening to music, and cheering on the Mississippi State University football team.
Mississippi Reading Corps and Math Corps launched in 2021 in Jackson, and the programs now serve students in six cities across the state. To learn more about tutoring opportunities in Mississippi, visit us at ReadingandMath.org/locations/Mississippi.
