Recovery Corps helps make a life in recovery possible for more people. AmeriCorps members offer peer support and project management to help recovery organizations increase their capacity. AmeriCorps members with lived experience are trained to offer mentoring, peer support and resource navigation as Recovery Navigators. Project Coordinators focus on supporting community engagement, project coordination, data collection, volunteer mobilization, and workforce development.
All Minnesotans deserve a safe place to call home. As part of Heading Home Corps, AmeriCorps members serve as Housing Resource Navigators and support individuals experiencing homelessness as they work to overcome barriers and achieve their housing goals.
Building healthy, strong, and resilient communities has never been more important. As part of Public Health Corps, AmeriCorps members serve as Public Health Project Coordinators to increase public health capacity and respond to community needs while growing the public health workforce.
Since 2021, Minnesota welcomed more than 1,200 Afghan families and is currently welcoming families from Ukraine and other countries around the world. As part of Resettlement Corps, AmeriCorps members support families who are new to the U.S. as they join their new communities and work to achieve housing, employment and education goals.
