Itzel Galindo

Executive Director of Wisconsin Programs

As a former school administrator and literacy coach, Itzel has dedicated her professional career to education and giving all students the opportunity to learn and grow. Since joining Ampact in 2021 as Executive Director of Wisconsin Programs, Itzel has been a driving force in expanding Reading Corps and now Math Corps across the state. As a second language learner that struggled with reading early on, she knows the importance of students having access to high-quality education that supports their individual needs.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marquette University, and a master’s in both literacy and educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.
